Finally, the second violin sonata by Aleksey Igudesman is on the program. Igudesman is mostly known for his musical sketches with his duo partner Hyung-ki Joo. However, besides, he is very active as a composer. The second violin sonata both contains moments of reflection, as well as a colorful trip taking the listener past Argentina and Russia (or Bulgaria?), to end up in a rush-hour traffic jam with hints of James Bond (!)...
